The afternoon sun in Thiruvananthapuram sported a luminous halo around it on Monday afternoon. The celestial event attracted curious viewers who trained their eyes upwards daring the blinding light. Sources at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre said it occurs due to high-altitude cloud formations in the sky.
