Ranbaxy gets USFDA nod for overactive bladder drug

New Delhi , Sept. 19

RANBAXY Laboratories Ltd has received tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market tolterodine tartrate tablets on 1 and 2 mg dosages.

Tolterodine tartrate tablets are indicated for the treatment of overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency and frequency. The total annual market sale of the product is $98 million and is being marketed under the Detrol brand by Pharmacia.
