New Delhi , Sept. 23

INDIA and China have agreed to enhance co-operation in the film sector. A delegation led by Ms Zhao Shi, Vice Minister State Administration of Radio, Film & Television, met Mr S.K. Arora Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, on Friday where it was agreed that India and China have huge potential for film co-production.

The Indian film industry, which has been growing at 18 per cent per annum offers much scope to the Chinese film industry. India, because of its geography and varied climate, has beautiful locations for shooting which the Chinese film-makers can utilise. In film animation also, India is fast emerging as a leader and the potential can be used to the benefit of both countries, he said.
