Award for Bhilai Steel Plant

KOLKATA: Steel Authority of India Ltd's Bhilai Steel Plant has been adjudged the best performing steel plant in the country for 2003-04.

According to a press release issued by SAIL, the award carries a cash component of Rs 1 crore and the Prime Minister's Trophy. "This is the sixth time that Bhilai Steel Plant has bagged the PM's trophy since the award's inception in 1992-93 when it had emerged as the inaugural winner", the press release stated.
