ABLE announces 3 regional chapters

ABLE, the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises, has said it will start three regional chapters.

These would be in Hyderabad for the South, Mumbai for the West and New Delhi for the North, a release said.

Dr M. Vidyasagar, Executive Vice-President and Head of Advanced Technology Centre, TCS, will head the Hyderabad chapter as honorary regional director.

Mr Alok Gupta, Country Head, Life Sciences & Technology, Yes Bank, will head the Mumbai chapter.

Mr Rajesh Jain, Joint Managing Director, Panacea Biotec Ltd, will head ABLE's New Delhi chapter.

ABLE, the collective face and voice of the domestic biotechnology industry and compared to the IT industry's Nasscom, was set up as a forum to act as an interface between the industry, the government, academic and research bodies, domestic and international investors and to build brand equity for the industry worldwide.
