MR R.S. Bachkaniwala, Director of Himson Textile Engineering Industries, Surat, has been elected as chairman of the Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (India) for 2005-06.

Mr Sridhar Varadaraj, Managing Director, Premier Evolvics Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, and Mr Anuj Bhagwati, Director of ATE Industries Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, were elected vice-chairmen; and Mr Kirti Rathod, MD, Luxite Industries, Mumbai, as treasurer, according to a TMMA press release.
