Bullish trend in physical rubber

Our Correspondent

Kottayam , Sept. 27

PHYSICAL rubber prices maintained the bullish trend on Tuesday. Sheet rubber and latex improved on acute shortage, while ISNR 20 firmed up on moderate export buying.

The inflow of the raw material to the main marketing centres continued to be extremely thin as most of the growers preferred to hold the stocks.

The NMCE rubber turned better with the October contract quoting at Rs 62.51 (61.70), November at Rs 61.49 (60.47), December at Rs 60.80 (59.91) and January contract at Rs 61 (60.07) a kg for RSS 4.

The spot rubber rates were as follows: RSS-4 62.25 (62), RSS-5 59.50 (59.50), ungraded 58.50 (58.50), ISNR 20 61.50 (61), and latex 60 per cent 41.50 (41).
