Software InterSystems plans joint venture for expansion V. Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , Sept. 28 INTERSYSTEMS Corporation, technology solutions provider, is in the process of expanding its presence in India and building a network of developers and independent software vendors (ISVs). It plans to expand its presence in India through a joint venture in the near term and is set to sponsor a Cache Lab, to train experts. The Director of InterSystems, a closely held company with revenues of $180 million, Mr Mike Fuller, told Business Line: " Since the company products help corporations to consolidate various technology applications, there is opportunity for it.. These help even 50,000 to 1,00,000 concurrent users". Its products are primarily used in healthcare, finance and telecom solutions, which are transaction-intensive, he explained. The company, headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which currently functions through a strategic partnership, MTech, sees the growing healthcare, BPO (business process outsourcing) companies and technology services providers, as offering a huge market for the company software products, Cache and Ensemble. "InterSystems competes with the likes of Oracle, IBM, Microsoft and Tibco, and help corporations optimise their technology investments. The market where we operate is growing at 20 per cent per annum," he said.
