Cashew meet to address challenges

THE three-day India Cashew Convention 2005 will be held in Goa from Friday.

The objective of the convention is to bring together all the stakeholders on a common platform in order to address the emerging challenges of the cashew industry, according to a release issued by Foretell Business Solutions Private Ltd.

Over 225 delegates from across the country connected with the cashew industry are expected to attend the convention.

The organisers of the meet expect processors, exporters, traders and brokers from major growing and processing centres such as Kollam, Mangalore, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa to attend the same.

The key issues to be discussed during the convention are the strategies for increasing raw nut production in India, promoting and marketing cashew kernels in the market; risk management - price quality, and performance and steps towards improving cost effectiveness in operations.
