Rubber futures up on NMCE

KOTTAYAM: Rubber futures moved up sharply in NMCE, reacting to the shortage of raw material in the domestic market.

The sentiments turned extremely positive as major international futures markets were also in a bullish mode.

The October delivery contract was quoted at Rs 64.54 (63.39), November at Rs 63.50 (62.33), December at Rs 63.11 (61.69) and January at Rs 63.15 (62.00) per kg for RSS 4. The transactions till noon totalled 1,551 lots with 719 lots in October, 515 lots in November, 172 lots in December and 145 lots in January.
