Countrywide plans ITES operations in Hyderabad

THE US-based financial services major Countrywide Financial Corporation has shown interest in establishing information technology enabled services (ITES) operations in Hyderabad.

A four-member team of top management of Countrywide led by Mr Michael Keating, Senior Managing Director, Mr Tom Jones, Managing Director, Mr Vasu Ramaswami, CEO (India Operations), and Mr Gowtham Barai, Head (Real Estate), UK, met the AP Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, here on Wednesday.

According to an official release, the Countrywide Financial team evinced its interest to establish ITES operations in India and took a decision in favour of Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister assured all required help to the team in this regard and welcomed their decision to set up ITES operations in Hyderabad.

Countrywide Financial offers diversified financial services in the areas of mortgage banking, loan closing services, capital markets, insurance services and banking.

Countrywide is also the largest home-loan company in US with headquarters in Calabasas, California, with over 40,000 employees and 600 offices. According to the CM office release, Countrywide, which has been exploring to establish ITES operations in India, has decided on Hyderabad after evaluating cities such as Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
