Philips launches mobile DVD player

Chennai , Sept. 30

PHILIPS Electronics India Ltd, a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics, has launched a mobile DVD player in Tamil Nadu.

Mr R. Swaminathan, Branch Head, Consumer Electronics, Philips Electronics India, said the DVD player is priced at Rs 19,990.

The company is targeting car owners with children between the ages of 5 and 15.

He said the DVD player keeps kids entertained with movies on long journeys.

It could be connected to a home theatre system and television.
