Prakashraj to endorse Sheenlac

CHENNAI: The 40-year-old wood finish brand, Sheenlac, has signed up Tamil actor Prakashraj as its brand ambassador in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Rajan P. Dev, a Malayalam character actor, will be the brand ambassador for Kerala, Mr D. Seshadiri, General Manager - Sales, Sheenlac, said.

Last year, the company spent about Rs 3 crore on advertising. However, this year the adspend will be slightly less, he said.

The all-India market for wood finishes is estimated to be around Rs 200 crore with half of it in the unorganised sector. Sheenlac has a market share of about Rs 60 crore, he said.

Sheenlac's product range extends to automotive finishes, wood stainers, polyurethane wood finishes, melamine wood finishes, water base exterior and interior finishes, and parquet antiskid wooden floor finishes.
