IN order to provide a fillip to Government's initiatives for tapping the African markets and for economic cooperation between the two regions, an eight-member business delegation left for Senegal and Ghana recently.

According to the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham), the delegation will hold meetings with senior Government officials as well as private sector representatives of both Senegal and Ghana for exploring business opportunities for joint economic collaborations in areas of pharmaceuticals, communications, IT, gems and jewellery and infrastructure sector. This will include setting up of manufacturing facilities in the sectors of power, petroleum, ports, airports and seaports among others for mutual economic gains.
