Tata Steel forms task force for Jharkhand greenfield plant

TATA Steel has formed a task force for initiating and completing preliminary work such as finalising the site, securing raw materials and ensuring infrastructure support with respect to its proposed 12-million-tonne per annum greenfield steel plant that will be set up in Jharkhand.

According to a company release, the task force will be headed by Mr Partha Sengupta, Principal Executive Officer of Tata Steel.

Members of the task force in charge of site selection, logistics, and infrastructure include Mr Santanu Ghosh, Chief (Engineering), Engineering & Projects, Mr Jai Prakash Singh, Head (Engineering Services & Projects), Engineering & Projects, Mr Shankar Kumar Lahiri, Head Logistics Systems, and Mr Suresh Chandra Bhandari, Head (Business Development), Jusco.

Members of the task force in charge of raw materials include Mr Chanakya Choudhary, Chief Resident Executive, New Delhi, Mr Pankaj Kumar Satija, Head Training, Mines Division, and Mr Narendra Kumar Gupta, Sr. Manager Operations Sijua Colleries, Jharia.
