Letters Development of Kerala
This refers to the article, "Enriching is the best anti-poverty strategy" (Business Line, October 3). The author has pointed out that Kerala needs human capital and creation of employment opportunities. The President's suggestions are to develop tourism, pharma products, deep sea fishing and fish procesing, PURA at coastal regions, value addition to tea and coffee, creation of exclusive NRI zone to attract FDI, and full utilisation of space technology. To implement these programmes, human capital may be necessary. The question, however, is whether this will bring about an attitudinal change in the people? A. Jacob Sahayam, Thiruvananthapuram
