Rail link to Beijing

The rail link that China is building from Lhasa to Beijing ("Fighting against odds", Business Line, September 25) is a mammoth project.

It can boost the tourist and travel industry. India could provide thousands of tourists.

Hopefully, China should ensure freer flow of tourists from the neighbouring countries, especially India, so that the rail link is available to Asian neighbours wanting to see for themselves the progress China has made.
