Idea offers roaming between Kerala and Saudi

KOCHI: Idea Cellular Ltd has tied up with Eithad Etisalat Mobily to offer bilateral international roaming between Kerala and Saudi Arabia.

Mobily is a consortium between Emirates Telecom Corporation - Etisalat, the dominant telecom provider in the UAE and several major investors from the private sector in Saudi Arabia.

Now, an Idea customer travelling to Saudi Arabia has an option of logging into either of the two cellular networks Saudi Telecom Company and Mobily. Likewise, customers of Saudi Arabia travelling to Kerala can also log on to Idea network.

To subscribe to international roaming service, Idea customer needs to have an international roaming deposit along with monthly membership fee of Rs 149, Mr B. Ramakrishna, Circle Head, Kerala, Idea Cellular Ltd, said.

Idea offers international roaming in all the major countries and networks in the world to its post paid and prepaid subscribers, he added.
