Kanishk Steel forms exclusive consortium

Our Bureau

Chennai , Oct. 4

KANISHK Steel Industries Ltd, a Chennai-based manufacturer of structural steel items, has formed an exclusive consortium of leading dealers to market its products in Tamil Nadu.

According to a company press release, the steel consortium — Steel Firm consists of Indian Steel, Union Steel, Raja Steel and Jaysons Steel. These are leading players in distributing steel-related products who are authorised to market Kanishk TMT (Thermo Mechanically Treated) bars and structurals in Tamil Nadu.

Quoting Mr Ravi Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Kanishk Steel, the release said market innovation had been less of a focus area compared to new process technologies in steel. Innovation at the market level calls for an understanding of the customers' needs.

The company markets TMT bars in Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, where it hopes to duplicate this model. Such an alliance between manufacturer and dealer is expected to increase efficiency in delivery and help customer make an informed choice.
