General Insurance Motor claims processing goes online Audatex signs pact with 2 pvt insurers Our Bureau
New Delhi , Oct. 4 AUDATEX, a division of the ADP group of US, has tied up with Tata-AIG and Bajaj Allianz for online processing of motor insurance claims. Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Pankaj Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer, Audatex, said the online solution offers measurable benefits to all parties in a claim. The garage creates the estimate, adds digital pictures of the damaged vehicle and sends it to the insurance surveyor, who in turn gives survey report online and the whole process is completed in a couple of hours. Mr Kapoor said this was for the first time that such an arrangement was being worked out in India. "We are looking at investments to the tune of $4 million in the first couple of years in hardware, software, data and training infrastructure," Mr Kapoor said. He said that while Bajaj Allianz and Tata AIG are using this Web-based solution, companies such as New India Assurance, Oriental Insurance, National Insurance and Royal Sundaram are trying the Audatex software on a pilot basis.
