Airlines Singapore Airlines to operate flights from Hyderabad Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Oct. 5 SINGAPORE Airlines would be operating its flights to Hyderabad and back starting from October 30. The Country Manager of Singapore Airlines, Mr B.K. Ong, called on the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, at the State Assembly here on Wednesday with the proposal. According to Mr Ong, the Singapore Airlines intends to operate four flights a week from Singapore to Hyderabad and back - on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight would arrive at 20.20 hrs and depart for Singapore at 21.20 hrs on the same day, according to an official press release. Expressing happiness over the proposal of the Singapore Airlines, the Chief Minister said the State Government is committed to develop airports in the State with world-class infrastructure facilities. Currently, the Singapore Airlines operates its flights to Hyderabad with 130-passenger capacity of A320 flight through its subsidiary airlines, Silk Air. As a part of the latest proposal, it now intends to operate with its own Boeing 777 flight of 300-passenger capacity. The Indian Airlines is also currently operating three flights between Hyderabad - Singapore - Hyderabad through its 145-capacity A320 flight. Similarly, Air India is also operating two flights to Singapore through its 250-capacity A310 flight, the release said.
