Hyderabad , Oct. 6

AUROBINDO Pharma Ltd (APL) has announced that it received a European certification for its active pharmaceutical ingredient — flucloxacillin sodium.

In a press release here on Thursday, the company said flucloxacillin sodium is an antibiotic used for the treatment of infections due to staphylococci resistant to benzyl penicillin.

APL obtained the certificate of suitability of monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia from the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM). The company said that with the endorsement, it would be able to sell the product in the European markets.
