Telecom components seized in Hyderabad

SLEUTHS here today assisted by officials of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) arrested four persons for illegal diversion of international calls that had caused loss of about Rs 1.26 crore.

A statement from the Police Commissioner said that four persons were apprehended and the equipment used to divert calls seized. They were engaged in running illegal centres for termination of international voice over Internet protocol calls into Indian telecom network by using Internet and also providing Internet services without Internet service provider licence from the DoT, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
