DLF to invest Rs 600 cr in IT park, township

DLF Universal Ltd., the real estate developer, has announced its plans to develop a Rs 600-crore integrated township at Hyderabad spread over 26.3 acre site.

This project has envisaged four million square feet of integrated township including IT Park at Gachibowli, off Old Mumbai road opposite CMC.

The IT park component of the integrated township is expected to be developed in a phased manner with the first phase set to be completed by mid-2006.

The DLF Group spokesperson in a statement here said, "Hyderabad, in the last decade has evolved as one of the hottest IT destinations in India. With a literacy rate of 71 per cent, Hyderabad churns out 3,50,000 graduates every year and offers a large pool of educated and talented workforce engaged in IT and ITES sector."

The company plans to develop residential, retail and recreational facilities that would include a five star hotel, multiplexes and service apartments apart from offering top-notch facilities for IT companies.

The IT park will also host other facilities such as food courts.

Designed by architect Hafeez Contractor, the DLF's IT Park would have workspace offering an integrated area combining work and leisure.

The IT park would be located opposite the CMC facility and near ISB, Infosys and Microsoft campuses.
