THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Southern Air Command (SAC) here will soon be made an aerospace command.

Air Marshal S.Y. Savur, Air Office Commanding-in-Chief, SAC, said this in a message issued in connection with the 73rd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF). He said that the latest technology would be inducted into systems that run the Command, given that its responsibilities are tipped to increase.

The SAC had performed well professionally in all spheres of activity. It had executed all its commitments efficiently and succeeded in achieving significant increase in operational output without compromising on quality.

Efforts at improving infrastructure for operation, maintenance and administration had paid huge dividends, the Air Marshal said.
