VISAKHAPATNAM: Corporation Bank is introducing several new products and improving the customer service during the current centenary year, Mr U.B Bhat, General Manager, CAPS, has said.

He was speaking at a press meet here on Monday after inaugurating the mini CAPS (collection and payment services) branch at Dwarakanagar.

Mr Bhat said the bank was the first to offer the services to customers, as early as 1990, and afterwards several other banks had followed suit. Still, the bank is maintaining the lead.

He said there were ten main CAPS branches and seven mini CAPS (including the Vizag one), offering a range of such services at a cheap cost to the customers. In Andhra Pradesh, it is the third such branch and in all, it is serving 2,500 clients in the segment including 500 companies.Referring to Visakhapatnam, he said the bank would offer forex-related services in a month or two to benefit the exporters and importers here.
