Power play

Electricity supply does not usually fail even once in three years in developed countries such as Germany and the Untied States. On the other hand, there are power failures at least three times a day in India. Why is this so? Is it because of technical incompetenceor much electricity theft?Perhaps, it is a combination of these. There should be at least a dozen electricity suppliers to choose from for the consumer, as in Britain and other countries. Until such time, perhaps it is too unrealistic for the Indian consumer to expect dramatic improvements in power quality and tariff.
