THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Surgical instruments and blood bags manufacturer major Terumo Penpol has introduced the new radio frequency (RF) tube sealer XS 1010.

A company spokesperson said here that the Composafe Tube Sealer is designed to meet all international safety requirements.

It is designed to ensure safety against electric shock, fire and mechanical hazards as well as electromagnetic interference. It produces hermetic seal by RF waves minimising contamination of blood and blood components.

RF waves emanating from an optimally designed oscillator guarantee exceptional seal quality. Easy separation of tube segments after sealing is also possible. The performance of the tube sealer has been tested for more than two million seals, the spokesperson said.
