Sports BHEL Special Olympics Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: The Ladies Welfare Centre (LWC) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Hyderabad, is organising the Special Olympics-2005 for mentally challenged children from October 20 to 23. Addressing newspersons here on Thursday, the BHEL Executive Director, Mr Chandra Pratap Singh, said around 1,500 challenged sports persons from 24 States of the country were taking part in the event at the BHEL Township here. Apart from hosting Special Olympics in two games - Bocce and Roller-skating, BHEL was also organising an eye-screening programme during the four-day period with the support of the Special Olympics International, Mr Singh said.
