KOCHI: The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, has underlined the need for promoting solar energy. Inaugurating the Kerala Renewable Energy Entrepreneurs and Promoters Association (KREEPA), he said that people were still hesitant to harness solar energy.

Without energy, he said, no development would be possible. Though government agencies such as ANERT were engaged in promotion of renewable energy, the Chief Minister said more efforts would be required to widen the awareness on energy.
