Education US co ties up with CBIT for higher studies counselling Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Oct. 16 GO! Higher Education, an American company, which offers counselling services to Indian students for pursuing higher studies in the US, has entered into an alliance with the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), a premier engineering college here. Addressing newspersons here on Friday, the company's Chief Executive Officer, Mr Steven Wakefield, said the partnership would provide a US Higher Education Campus Walk-in Centre at the CBIT campus. The facility would provide CBIT's current and future students a unique opportunity to explore their US higher education options. The founder of CBIT, Mr Kamalakar Reddy, said his institute shares the vision with Go! Higher Education that education is not purely classroom based and the role and responsibility of the educational institution does not stop when the student receives his or her diploma. According to Mr Steven Wakefield, though students from India, especially from the South, made up around 14 per cent of the total foreign student enrolment in the US, the visa rejections were also high in the region as many students lack information on adequate documentation to obtain visa for pursuing higher studies in the US. His counselling company, having done extensive research on the needs of Indian students and requirements of the US educational institutions, could provide real time information on the research, application and admissions process with the US universities and colleges, he said.
