Events Coimbatore to host `The Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle show' Our Bureau
Models displaying the Samsung range at the The Hindu Metroplus Lifestyle Show 2005 in Coimbatore K. Ananthan
Coimbatore , Oct. 16 `THE Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle show 2005,' which provides an opportunity to consumers to strike great bargains ahead of the festival season, will be held here during October 20-23. This is the first consumer exhibition organised under the MetroPlus banner in Coimbatore city and comes after the hugely successful `The Hindu Opportunities fair' that was conducted some months ago. Speaking to presspersons, Mr L.V. Navaneeth, General Manager, Advertisement Marketing, The Hindu, Chennai, said the organisation gave high importance to building better relationship with the readers and advertisers and holding such consumer fairs was a logical extension of that exercise. The exhibition brought the consumers in direct contact with the dealers and manufacturers, providing an opportunity to the buyers to get the best deals possible. More than 125 participants would be showcasing products ranging from arts and handicrafts, electronics, jewellery, textiles to automobiles. He indicated that the Lifestyle show would be an annual feature in the city. He expected around 40,000-50,000 visitors to the show. Mr K.L. Murali, Branch Manager-Sales, Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, said the company had notched up sales of more than Rs 1 crore at the MetroPlus Lifestyle show conducted at Chennai recently and he was confident of repeating such a high sales performance in Coimbatore also where Samsung would display some high-end electronic products. Mr R. Sivaram, Executive Director, Royal Classic Mills (P) Ltd, Tirupur, said the company would showcase its reasonably priced products under the Classic Polo brand including 400 varieties of T. Shirts, shirts in 200 new designs and more than 30 new trousers at the show. Mr Vipul B. Raval, Managing Director, RBS Home Appliances Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, distributor for Siemens Home Appliances, said the full range of Siemens home appliances would be on display at the exhibition including washing machines, dishwashers and driers. Mr Adil from Zimson, Mr Sreesh from Ideal Stores and Mr Balaji from Kirtilals also explained the salient features of the products to be displayed at the show.
