Stop child labour

This refers to the report on "Child Labour" (Business Line, October 17). The government should concentrate on not only providing employment opportunities to parents of children who are forced into labour, but also provide loan facilities for them to make a fresh start and educate them on family planning.

A separate trust for the education of such children should be set up, as the next step towards eradicating child labour in India.
