Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: An estimated Rs 900 crore worth of business was generated at the Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair, which concluded on Monday.

Around 7,100 buyers visited the five-day fair and raised over 15,000 enquiries either for purchase or for development of new designs and products from India, according to the organiser, the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts. It is expected that these enquiries will materialise into business in six to eight months. Most of the buyers were from America, Europe, Latin America, Far East, and South-East, Central and West Asia.
