Rs 25-cr CFS set up near Chennai

CHENNAI: Indian Corporate Business Centre Ltd, a public bonded warehousing and logistics support provider, has set up a container freight station (CFS) on the city of Chennai at a cost of Rs 25 crore.

The facility, located on the Ennore High Road at Manali, about 14 km from the Chennai port, has an open area of six acres for handling containers, one lakh sq ft of open area, 70,000 sq ft of covered area for bonded warehousing, 15,000 sq ft of covered warehouse for export cargo and 15,000 sq ft of covered warehouse for import cargo and 60 tonnes weigh bridge.

An exclusive area of two acre is available for handling granites with gantry crane, says a company press release.
