Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: V. Anand and R. Anand of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Thiruvananthapuram, came up trumps at the sixth `TCS IT Wiz' quiz competition for school students held here on Sunday.

The first round threw up a situation in which the Sarvodaya duo along with Joseph Sebastian and Mikhail Jacob from Pallikkudam, Kottayam, scored an identical 20 points. M. Arun Kumar and T.P. Arun from Loyola, Thiruvananthapuram, and Rebin Koshy and Roshen George from St. Thomas Central stood second with 10 points each.

But the Sarvodaya students brought themselves back into the game with a bang in the fourth round. And they proceeded to literally turn the tables over St Thomas Residential in the last round titled `ZIP.'

The winners took home I-pods, the trophy and bicycles. The teams also received a variety of other gifts including travel bags, racing binoculars, CDs, dictionaries and prizes from Titan, Westside, handsets from Tata Indicom and subscriptions from The Hindu Business Line.
