Software Info-Tech - Financial Performance Zensar Tech Q2 revenue up 16 pc Our Bureau
Pune , Oct 18 ZENSAR Technologies, software and BPO services provider, has reported a 16-per cent rise in revenues with consolidated revenues of Rs 99 crore for the quarter ended September 2005 compared to Rs 86 crore for the corresponding previous period. Despite new investments and salary increases effective July 2005, the company has managed to report a consolidated profit before taxes of Rs 6.4 crore for the quarter under review and a profit after taxes of Rs 4.4 crore. Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, said that the investment in future technology and new services such as testing services, infrastructure management, knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), and embedded systems had been driving the growth.; eight of its 20 new customer accounts added during the quarter were in these spaces. "Our core services of application portfolio management and ERP, based on mature processes and models, continue to show steady revenue and profit growth. Both the new business units, engaged in innovative technology solutions (ITS) and BPO respectively, are on track to be profitable by end of the year as planned." Mr Natarajan also said that the quarter has been significant for Zensar's BPO, its youngest business unit.
