MUMBAI: Discovery Channel's new programme `100 Greatest Discoveries' will showcase landmark scientific discoveries in the past few centuries in various fields.

The discoveries include Sir Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion, Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity, Charles Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection, Louis Pasteur's Germ Theory and Dmitry Mendeleyev's Periodic Table of Elements. Each episode in this eight-part series will showcase scientists of yester years who questioned the underlying nature of the universe and those who continue to examine what makes the human race and the planet earth tick.
