GRSE pays Rs 11-cr dividend to Govt

GARDEN Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE), a wholly owned Government of India undertaking, has paid to the Government a dividend of Rs 11.02 crore for the financial year 2004-05, which is the highest-ever dividend payment since the inception of the company, according to a release issued by the company.

Rear Admiral T. S. Ganeshan, CMD, GRSE, handed over the dividend cheque to the Defence Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, in New Delhi on Wednesday, the press release added.

In 2004-05, GRSE posted a profit of Rs 48.56 crore on a value of production of Rs 470.28 crore. During the year, it launched four ships and delivered one. The total order book position of the ship division amounts to Rs 4269.65 crore.
