Teledata plans to diversify

TELEDATA Informatics Ltd plans to enter into farming.

It will use biotechnology, contract research and farming and nanotechnology to improve their fertility and yield.

Teledata also plans to become developers, manufacturers, importers, exporters, dealers, agents in computer software, hardware, accessories and equipment for computers, telecommunication and entertainment electronics, according to a company release.

The shareholders approved these proposals at an extraordinary general meeting held on Wednesday.

They also approved an increase in authorised capital to Rs 210 crore from Rs 200 crore.

The company hopes to report revenues of Rs 1,000 crore for fiscal ending March 2006, the release said.
