Kochi , Oct. 20 GDA Technologies Inc, a California-based electronic design services company, has set up an offshore design centre here, and announced that it would be developed into a global facility in future. By the end of this year, GDA Tech would have 25 engineers at its new centre in Kochi, a statement from the company said. The number of engineers would be doubled over the next one year, aimed at supporting other GDA centres from Kochi, it said. Developed at the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, (RASET), the centre would focus its attention on complex board designs and embedded software development. It will also look at expanding into other areas of technology development. "We signed the memorandum of understanding with RASET in June and within the timeline set, we are now operational in three months. At Kochi, we will be focusing on developing embedded technology," said Mr Gopa Periyadan, Vice-President and General Manger of Systems Division at GDA Technologies.
