Ricoh eyes 30 pc market share

NEW DELHI: Ricoh Company Ltd, a Japanese office automation products manufacturer, is now looking to be a major player in the Indian market through its subsidiary, Ricoh India Ltd.

Announcing this at a press conference here, Mr Katsumi Yoshida, Director and Corporate Executive Vice-President, Ricoh Company Ltd, said the Indian subsidiary already has a market share of 26 per cent in digital multi- function devices and it planned to target a 30 per cent share in the next three years.

The sales figure of Ricoh India Ltd, after its merger with Gestetner India Ltd, stands at Rs 150 crore. This accounts for two per cent of the turnover of the parent company. The company has over 900 employees in the country.
