Software IBM opens 1,000-seater service centre Our Bureau
Bangalore , Oct. 20 IBM has opened a new 1,000-seat Global Service Delivery Centre (GSDC) in Bangalore on Thursday to enhance its IT management and outsourcing services portfolio. The company has invested about Rs 44 crore in the new centre, which covers 31,000 sq.ft. The centre will provide local and global clients with command centre services including remote monitoring of servers, security operations and network operations; data centre services including server hosting, server management and storage management; and IT help-desk services, IBM said in a press release. The GSDC will use a centralised model of delivery, which offers clients greater ability to move work quickly to other locations at reduced risk, thus ensuring high-value, high-quality service delivered consistently across locations, it said.
