Bearings, Castings & Forgings Ennore Foundries Q2 net lower at Rs 2.82 crore Our Bureau
Chennai , Oct. 21 ENNORE Foundries Ltd has recorded a net profit of Rs 2.82 crore and revenues of Rs 89.54 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, against a net profit of Rs 3.17 crore and revenue of Rs 54.13 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. For the half year, it has recorded a net profit of Rs 6.21 crore and total revenues of Rs 167.79 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 5.42 crore and revenues of Rs 110 crore in the corresponding half-year period last year. However, the figures are not comparable because Ennore Foundries acquired Ductron Castings Unit (DCU) of Ashok Leyland Ltd for a consideration of Rs 62 crore effective April 1, 2005, and the figures for the half-year ended September 30 are inclusive of DCU's operations. Demand for castings continues to be buoyant for car, commercial vehicles and tractor segments, according to the company.
