Kitex Garments declares 10 pc interim

KITEX Garments Ltd has said that it has declared an interim dividend of 10 per cent and fixed November 7 as the reckoning date for the purpose.

The company is also splitting its existing fully paid-up shares of Rs 10 each into shares of Re 1 each, it said in a statement here.

For the first half of the current fiscal, turnover stood at Rs 62.73 crore against Rs 80.33 crore it made for the full previous year. Profit before tax during the period was Rs 5.6 crore as per the unaudited financial results. The company did not announce whether it made a profit after tax.

The company's board of directors has approved a backward integration project at a cost of Rs 45.8 crore to overcome the hindrances faced in outside processing of yarn and fabric in Tirupur.
