The Hindu Business Line : Canara Bank's `kisan kiosk' at Neyyatinkara branch

This is the first of its kind opened by the bank in the entire country and the first in Kerala by a commercial bank, according to a statement from the bank.

The "kisan kiosk" offers a wide variety of services such as market information, virtual market, weather information, crop information module, GIS-based agricultural advisory, best farming practices, planting material availability, fertilisers and pesticides, credit facilities and discussion forum.
