Telecommunications Tata Teleservices subscribers touch 5 lakh in Karnataka Our Bureau
Bangalore , Oct. 25 TATA Teleservices has announced that it has a cumulative customer base of five lakh in Karnataka. Services include fixed wireless, CDMA mobile, landline, broadband and other value-added services. The company recently invested Rs 3-4 crore in a new scheme called `Non Stop Mobile' that allows subscribers to receive free incoming calls for two years without fixed monthly commitment. With this offer, the company proposed to add 10 million customers by year-end. The company has a countrywide customer base of 5.6 million. It has 20 per cent market share in the wireless domain and 10 per cent in the mobile domain. The incremental market share in Karnataka is 12 per cent per month. The services are available in 166 towns in the State and will increase by 40 in the next six months.
