Southern Online plans more bio-diesel trial runs

SOUTHERN Online Bio Technologies Ltd, currently in the process of establishing the country's first commercial scale bio-diesel facility, has decided to conduct trial runs of bio-diesel on more number and varieties of vehicles.

As the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has expressed satisfaction over the trial runs conducted on a city bus till recently, the Hyderabad-based company now plans to run four vehicles of different segments on bio-diesel, these include jeep, car and auto.

The company is currently setting up a bio-diesel facility with a capacity of 10,000 tones per annum at Samsthan Narayanpur in Nalgonda district here at an investment of Rs 17.1 crore.

In a press release here, the company said this unit is set to commence commercial operations before the end of current fiscal.
