Panacea Biotec Q2 net up 106 pc

PANACEA Biotec has registered a 106 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 22.87 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 compared to Rs 11.1 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

Net sales during the quarter grew 68 per cent to Rs 132 crore (Rs 78.65 crore). Net sales during the first six months of the current fiscal touched Rs 291.2 crore against Rs 174.78 crore during the corresponding period in the previous year. Net profit was also higher at Rs 44.27 crore (Rs 19.84 crore).
