Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Revenue Department proposes to launch a massive campaign to clear all pending applications in village and taluk offices.

The campaign will have top functionaries of the department attending and will go to 1,569 village offices from January 2 to 12 and 63 taluk offices from January 16 to 21, the Revenue Minister, Mr K. M. Mani, told newspersons here on Tuesday.

The conference of the district collectors has finalised a scheme for rolling out the campaign, the minister said. All pending applications will be cleared as part of the exercise.

These would include applications for certifications relating to caste, religion, income, location, possession, marriage and residence, besides those for title deeds, and property transaction and survey, the Minister added.
